Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains what personal information North East Printing Services ("NEPS", "we", "us") collects when you use this website or work with us, how we use it and the rights you have under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Who we are
North East Printing Services is a design and print management business based in the North East of England. For any privacy question, contact us at hey@northeastprinting.co.uk or on 07885 426 708.
What we collect
- Details you give us through our contact and quote forms, by email or by phone: your name, email address, phone number, company name, delivery address and details of your project.
- Artwork and files you send us for printing.
- Order, invoice and payment records.
- Basic technical information your browser sends when you visit the site, such as your IP address, which our web host may record in server logs for security.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare quotes.
- To design, produce and deliver your order.
- To send invoices and keep the business records we are legally required to keep.
- To contact you about your order or project.
We rely on the steps needed to enter into or carry out a contract with you, our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business, and our legal obligations (for example, tax records). We do not sell your information, and we will only send you marketing if you have asked us to, with an easy way to opt out.
Who we share it with
- Trusted print production partners, only where needed to produce your order.
- Couriers and delivery companies, so they can deliver your order.
- Our website hosting and email provider (IONOS), which processes and delivers the messages sent through our website forms.
- Our accountant and HMRC, where required by law.
Each of these only receives what they need, and some may process data outside the UK under appropriate legal safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that don't lead to an order for up to 12 months. We keep order and invoice records for six years after the end of the financial year, as required for tax purposes. Artwork files may be kept so you can reorder easily; ask us at any time to delete them.
Cookies and similar technologies
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. It stores a small setting in your browser to remember whether you chose the light or dark display mode. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers. Our quote and contact forms set a temporary session cookie, used only to help block spam; it is deleted when you close your browser.
Your rights
- Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct or delete it.
- Object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it.
- Ask us to transfer it to another organisation.
To use any of these rights, email hey@northeastprinting.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), although we'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
